Hi everyone,

STIR: A Festival of Words is almost here!!! Last Saturday we had a great opening reception at 516 Arts for the exhibitions Cautionary Tales, Finding a Pulse, and Book Lung. Now we’re gearing up for three wild days of words!!!

For sponsors and ticket prices, see links below. For details about the whole festival check out the rest of this site using the links in the bar above…

Here’s a one page downloadable schedule: printable-events-charts

Every day we’ll have an information center at the merchandise table. On Friday September 12th, that’ll be on UNM Campus in the Student Union Building downstairs in the atrium. You can get programs, passes for evening events (day time are free), tickets for Joy Harjo’s show, and info about anything you need to know about the festival… On Friday from 11-12 at the info center, you’ll even be able to gather to listen to an interview with Joy Harjo, our headliner, on Native America Calling which we’ll hear on KUNM 89.9FM—Or you can go up upstairs and take the performance workshop from Jessica Lopez and Damien Flores!!!

The info center for both Saturday and Sunday will be at the Harwood Art Center where we’ll be having numerous events. Harwood is at the corner of 7th and Mountain

Gratitude to all participants and everyone helping out.

Regards,

lisa gill
